Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards
The Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards took place on Saturday 22nd July at Belmont 16s club, where JettProof, and Michelle Ebbin (Founder and Managing Director of JettProof), were finalists in five award categories. It was a wonderful evening with food, music, and entertainment. It also provided an opportunity to meet other successful business owners and employees, who were also finalists for the Awards due to their huge success.
2017 is the 6th year of the Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards where the aim is to recognise and highlight achievement, while encouraging all businesses to strive for excellence.
With more than 12,000 businesses in the Lake Macquarie region, the Awards celebrate the demonstrated pursuit of excellence across a number of different business categories, and also showcased achievements of individuals. There were over 40 finalists at this year’s Awards.
It has been an incredible achievement for Michelle Ebbin and the JettProof team to be presented with four Business Excellence Awards:

- Excellence in Branding and Marketing – JettProof
- Excellence in Entrepreneurship – Michelle Ebbin, JettProof
There were many quality entries from other high achieving businesses, which reinforces the hard work and positive impact that JettProof continues to have on the local, national and international community.
Our purpose at JettProof is to improve the daily lives of children and adults living with sensory needs by providing an all-day wearable, effective solution.
JettProof calming sensory clothing was initially created for Jett, Michelle’s son, who was diagnosed with severe Autism, Global Developmental Delay and Sensory Processing Disorder, four years ago. With up to 12 meltdowns before midday most days, they were desperate to provide a solution to help him. The difference JettProof made to Jett’s life is astounding, so Michelle decided to manufacture JettProof so other children and adults throughout the world living with Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Anxiety and other Neurological conditions could also benefit.
With a background in manufacturing and marketing, and after a year of intensive research and development, JettProof was created and launched in the Australian and International markets. With many businesses choosing to manufacture offshore these days, JettProof is proud to manufacture locally and create local jobs.

JettProof has been invited to the NSW Business Chamber Awards in November due to our success in the Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards. We aim to represent Lake Macquarie businesses and further improve our recognition as industry leaders.
